Formatting and Structuring of Italian Addresses
The formatting and structuring of your Italian address data is an important factor in achieving the best results when it comes to data maintenance, such as modification, updating, and correction.
An Italian consumer address is structured as follows:
SIG. PAOLO GASPARI
VIA TOSCANA 9
10999 SAN MAURO TORINESE TO
An Italian company address is structured as follows:
Signor Paolo Gaspari
CORSO SEMPIONE 91
20149 MILANO MI
- 5 digit postcode: the first digit stands for a postcode region, which is assigned to one to three political districts. The second and third digit stands for the province. The last two digits mark the area or rather the delivery area.
- The address (street name or P.O. box number) and the locality (postcode, city/town and abbreviation of the province) must be written in capital letters. However, it is preferable to have all lines written in capital letters.
- Attention! In the last few years the postcode system has been revised many times, to some extent fundamentally. The most recent small changes were in 2010. Therefore POSTADRESS GLOBAL advises postal validation using the postcode directory.
POSTADRESS GLOBAL will gladly assist you with the formatting and structuring of your Italian addresses. Contact us – we will gladly advise you further.
