Formatting and Structuring of Dutch Addresses
The formatting and structuring of your address data is an important factor in achieving the best results when it comes to data maintenance, such as modification, updating, and correction.
A Dutch consumer address is structured as follows:
De heer Jan Voogt
9203 PA Drachten
A Dutch company address is structured as follows:
Musterfirma Holding B.V.
3890 AN Zeewolde
- Alpha-numeric postcodes with 4 digits, a space and two letters. Both letters indicate the urban district and the street. Together with the house number the Dutch postcode represents a unique code for each address.
- Title (e.g. doctor or master) is irrelevant in the Netherlands.
In order to standardise your Dutch addresses so that a consistent format exists, POSTADRESS GLOBAL offers the usage of the official postcode directory, in which streets, areas and postcodes are stored in the official, up to date format. If required, you have also access to a daily updated household database.
